Individual lives saved
There are many dogs who just do not stand a chance due to breed, predisposition, health issues, temperament or handicap. We believe that every dog is adoptable.
Elpida (in English Hope) was found abandoned, after she got hit by a car and left on the side of the road for days, paralyzed and unable to walk. The local municipality wanted to euthanize her as they had no means of finding her with a home. The local rescue got in touch with us. We helped Elpida, now called Ruby, to find the best home ever. Handicapped dogs can be as happy as non-handicapped dogs and we encourage families to open their eyes to “special needs” dogs as often they have no way of finding a family.
We only focus on “hard-to-adopt” or often called “non-adoptable” dogs or dogs who would be dead without our help. From pulling dogs from the street in complicated rescue missions, rescuing dogs from abuse, pulling dogs from euthanasia lists, over to finding dogs a home who have no chance and who had waited for many years and would die in shelters without our help.
We believe that EVERY dog is adoptable. It just takes training, patience and more effort and a more targeted approach. We only carry out a few adoptions per year, but all dogs we committed to, were successfully adopted and live happily-ever-after.
