Regional Impact Avoiding Unwanted Puppies
Avoid unwanted litter before they end up on the street.
The promotion of neutering of owned dogs as a means to control dog overpopulation is a key part of larger integrated program that has as an end-objective to make Aegina, Greece a sustainably “zero stray” dog community.
With the support of our partner vets in Aegina, Neutering has continued during the COVID crisis, albeit at a slower pace due to the need to follow protection protocols and comply with government restrictions on movement during the lock down weeks.
This program is sponsored by Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, one of the largest animal welfare organizations in the world and the Bodossaki Foundation, one of the most well-known Greek charities. Read for the official announcement about Battersea here and for Bodossaki here.
We are proud that both, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and the Bodossaki Foundation chose us to partner with to achieve zero stray dogs in Aegina and ultimately in Greece, as they believe in the difference our program makes.
