Breed: The goddess with stereotypes attached
Current Home: With Maayke W. and Django
My story: I was abandoned and found by the staff of Aegina in the forest with my sister Anelie in 2015. I had a broken leg, but that got taken care of, and I healed. I had a family back in 2015 waiting for me who who wanted to adopt me, but the adoption fell through.
I had waited for over 2 years for my forever home in the shelter, over 2 years !! Whenever visitors came to our shelter, I ran as fast as I could to greet every visitor first and always tried so hard to make a good impression on any human coming to visit the Aegina shelter. I was always hopeful that some day one visitor would take me home. Thank god, Zero Stray Pawject stepped in and tried to help me. ZSP believes that every dog is a personality with hopes, fears and dreams and every dog deserves to find a home. They found Maayke from the Netherlands, an amazing woman came to Aegina in July, met Silja from Zero Stray Pawject and the shelter and the rest was history. She and I fell in love. Maayke came back in October 2017 and transported me to the Netherlands all by herself. I am so happy because I am one of the dogs in the shelter who was not happy and who LONGED for a home of my own. Thanks to Zero Stray Pawject and Maayke my dream finally came true and I now live with Maayke, Django, her other rescue dog whom she saved from a motorway in France and I know I will have the brightest future head. Since I have been arriving at home, I cannot stop wagging my little tail, and I still cannot believe my luck. Every 30 minutes, I run up to Maayke and say Thank You to her. She then takes me into her arms and hugs me. My dream finally came true! Thank you Zero Stray Pawject and Maayke. I will love you forever!
