600m dogs and cats live on the street worldwide.

Let’s change that!

We reduce the number of stray animals sustainably in communities with a large amount of homeless pets on the street. We do that by educating municipalities, law enforcement, the judicial, veterinarians and governments and helping them to intervene BEFORE a pet ends up stray, homeless and on the street through promoting responsible pet ownership. The result of our work improves communities for citizens, pets and local economies. We started our program in Greece, where an estimated 3 million stray pets live on the street or are homeless. Our Program can be applied anywhere and improve communities around the world.

This website is temporarily not up to date as we focus our resources on delivering sustainable impact. Thanks to a new funding partner, an updated site will be available by June 2026. For more information about our work, please visit www.zerostrayacademy.gr and www.hewontmissthem.com.

The “Pawject” is all about a systematic and sustainable way of solving the root-cause of stray dogs and cats to improve communities with a large amount of strays, improve animal welfare and lower a public health and safety risk for citizens.
